Item(s) for Sale:

Diablo audio technologies x5000.1 prototype amp

Item(s) Description/Condition:

5000x1 @1ohm

Blown. I bought it blown and sent to ampenstein where it currently is. Needs new power supply and inductors. About 300-400 to get fixed, cheaper without the inductors (but he won't warranty). As for appearance all is good except I started shaving off part of the paint on it, didn't get very far though. Ampenstein is getting me more pix as we speak

Price:

$200 to leave with him to fix or $250 shipped

Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:

Would come ups

so where did it come from ?

Some chinese buildhouse, couldn't tell u which. I can trace ownership back to sundownz (jacob fuller) but the trail deadends there

Not exactly what I said //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

What I said was it is not a DAT amp as we never once ordered protos from the build house. Hell we couldn't even get the buildhouse to lock down on specs for the amp. I did however say that it either came from the buildhouse we used, or one of the many copycat buildhouses in China.

A good repair guy will be able to track down the issue with the amp. There were more then a few items it could of been. With a solid repair and for your sale price, someone can have a pretty strong amp.

The design was based off the Hellfire 2500's. If they kept the same parameters then I would avoid over 15v as well as no more then 5v input. Also these amps do not like to be hot started. A turn on delay would be a good idea as well.
