hi i accidentally left the negative attached on the battery and connected the power wire to my mono and then when attaching the ground wire, it sparked. The amp wont turn on now. The 4 channel however is staying on even with the h/u off. Is my remote wire the problem?

Maybe?

Does your Mono Amp have a serviceable fuse?

Disconnect the remote wire from both amps. If the 4 channel stays on then you have a problem. If they both stay off then run a jumper from your 12 volt line to the remote hookup on the amp. If one of them doesn't turn on then you have a problem with that amp. Other wise you do have a problem with your remote wire. Is it connected directly to your H/U?

I must have been in the laziest mood when it happened because when I disconnected the remote wire from the mono, the 4 channel finally turned off (with ignition off).

So my question is, did I blow the fuse on the mono when I installed it? If I need to replace it, the amp has 4 20 amp fuses so could I just replace one?

Are the fuses blown? you will need to replace the fuses that are blown. the best way to tell if they are blown is to LOOK AT THEM;)
