Hello,

I recently got a Rockford Fosgate T5002 as a gift from my parents. hooked it up and i noticed that the amp made my subs sound like there blown, switched back to my old amp, and it didnt make that scratchy sound.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

Yes, i do indeed have a digital multimeter.

My settings are:

Gain -under 1/4

Frequency- 55 hz

Crossover- Lowpass

Infrasonic Filter- On

Amp is seeing 2 ohms bridged.

Ok, well i think i figured out the problem. Turns out my RCA wire is broken. The connection on my headunit is loose. so it makes that scratchy noise.

But i also noticed the amp makes a high pitched noise without the RCA's connected when it first starts up. what could that be?

Alright,

This problem still happens after i switched out the RCA's. I'll try to explain this better.

The amp makes a high pitched noise, sorta like a ground noise even with the RCA's disconnected. Also, when you play the music, the subs make a random "pop" when they play at a low volume. It only does this when the car is running tho. With the car off, the amp plays perfect.

Im thinking the ground ( amp, or the deck ground), which im gonna redo tomorrow.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Thanks!

Anyone? Please?

I redid the ground onto the frame, and it still makes the high pitched noise, and the random popping noise. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
