//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif so im driving and have just been bumping for a good bit. im on my way home and i put on "roll call". its only the very beginning of the song. barely any bass and all of a sudden i hear a sort of crackling noise, i thought it was the cd so i kinda brushed it off. not even 10 seconds later i smell burning and im like wtf? i look in the back and theres smoke EVERYWHERE! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif so im like FUK, well it finally happened i blew my sub. but the thing is, all the bass stopped completely BOTH subs werent working. keyword BOTH. then when i got home and checked the back, my amp wasnt even on, no power as in not working. so im now assuming that its the amp that is fried.
now how can i tell? if it definetly is the amp?? i took the subs out and they appeared fine. no cosmetic damage. all the wiring appears ok too.
if it is the amp how could this happen. its a kicker kx1200.1 i thought these things were built very solid and ive been bumping just the same for about 3 months now.
