Blowing Tweter's what could it be??

ive so far blown 2 tweeter's... both on the drivers side.. completely went up in smoke.. literaly

im running alpine ref x-type comp's off a rockford power 400-2.. i left the setting's on the crossover the way they where from factory...

i have these setting's... right now it's on 0db

i have

0db

1.5db

3db

6db..

should i adjust that... my gain's where set with a DVOM..

anyone?

Even if you set it with a DMM, if you're always cranking on them, they're going to blow.

im thinking i just cranked it up tooo mutch on this nice sunny day...

ya i know it was from me turning it up just a little bit tooo mutch...

thank god i can get them replaced with new one's with no problems...

the crossover for the component's, not the amp. the crossover and gain at the amp are allready set properly..
