Blowing fuses constantly?!?!`

I have this amp and sub

Kenwood KAC-8104D

The fuse on the amp blows everytime it turns on and now it blew the fuse on the power cable coming out of the battery.

How should it be wired?

i had that amp once with 4awg hooked up to it pushin a 12 cvr,surprisingly,it never got hot and never blew a fuse,even with gain and boost at 3/4 up.wasnt what i was looking for,hence y i moved on.you know that amp is only pushin bout 300 clean rms watts.so if your tryin to get more than the amp can handle.thats mostly likely y imo

looks like you have it wired correctly,amp maybe not strong enough for that sub ?

yes i forgot to add,thats one thing i hated with kenwood,the power and ground wire connections are right next to each other.so if there is one strand of wire touching + and -,that will allso blow a fuse.allso amp comes with 40a fuse,so stay with that.

You do not have enough amperage output from your alt/battery and the voltage is dropping. When the voltage drops, the amps increase significantly and then fuses blow. You need a power upgrade. Both your alt and battery need tested / replaced. If your stock alt is rated at 100a or more and passes testing, it may be fine. If you still have a stock battery, change it out for a quality AGM battery. Make sure you have the Big 3 done as well.
