My one sister had a similar problem when she smoked newports. She stopped for a week and then it was gone. And even though I told her to stay quit , she started smoking marlboro menthal lights and hasn't had it happen again.

Yeah, its hurts, sorta burns and is rough and raspy. Nothing excruciating. I did see an episode of Life in the ER, or somthing like that on TLC where I guy swallowed a thumb-tack when he was taking posters off the ceiling. He was in the hospital bed, coughing up blood all over the fricken place, and riving in agony. They had to stick a probe down his throat and pull it out. Made me think about the wire thing, and shudder

Sounds like the beginnings of strep. Itll hurt a bit at first, then it hurts to eat or drink. Talking and stuff doesnt hurt does it?

slice your throat open and let the blood drain out and that should solve the problem

Well, went to the doctor today. She said I tested negative for strep. She said the blood was just drainage from my sinuses from my previous cold which i had a couple weeks ago, and that tiny blood vessels in my throat could have caused the blood as well. She put me on nasal spray. No temperature, no facial tenderness, or gland swelling.
