Blood Alcohol Content?

normal liver processes a drink an hour, take the number of hours youve been drinking, subtract that from what youve drank, then look up that many beers on a BAC chart, to see ifyou are legally drunk
Drinking for an hour or so, and 9 beers/drinks now. Not going to have anymore, **** Mikes is making my tongue sting.

Although if you do get a DUI and you are under a .1 you can ask for deffered prosecution...and only have to go to a couple of classes and attened a couple of VIP courses where parents whose children have been killed by drunk drivers talk. That really woke me up.

But the deffered basically suspends your sentence for 1 year from the date of your court date. If you don't get in trouble within that year the DUI dissapears totally...it doesn't go on your record, doesn't effect insurance, its like it never happend...but you have to beg your *** off to the DA

It still cost me around 1200 bucks, plus it cost me a couple of Fire Fighter jobs because I lost my lisence for 90 days, I was celebrating because I passed the CPAT the night I got my DUI....it'll **** you'll world up and make all kinds of hell rain down on you.

Easier to just go to sleep and drive in the morning

yes you would blow over the legal limit. even if somehow you didn't, you would fail a field sobriety test and go to jail.

For reference, my DUI cost me a little over $3K in total costs. Plus 90 days without a license. Don't drive.
in Louisiana on first offense you have to put a device on your car and blow in it before it can crank...I think they charge $70.00 a month rental....and I believe it is for 1 year...

Doesnt weight have to do something with it as well?

you can buy your own machine pretty reasonable to test your blood alcohol level to see if your safe to drive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I've bought one of those....well worth the money. Its also a good reminder of how easy it is to get over the legal limit. At .05 here in colorado you can get a DWAI....for me that was a few beers in 1 hour and I was easily over the limit.

They are also great for parties to see who can get the highest BAC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

In NY you do some serious time. Second offense is 3 years. And 3rd there is no limit on your sentence. Legal fees in the tens of thousands. Its not even worth the risk. It doesnt make sense that rapists get less time then a drunk driver but it is what it is i guess. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

thats on the chart
weight shouldnt have anything to do with the liver, as all livers are the same
But alcohol doesn't go STRAIGHT to the liver. And your BAC isn't measured at your liver.

A healthy liver can get rid of 1% of a BAC per hour, so .01 per hour.

Means if you are a .08 it would take at LEAST 8 hours for your body to get back down to .00
