blew one of my re sx 12's

alright i let my brother use my truck an b4 he was done with it he blew one of me sx's i used to have two bx1500's an 2 12" resx's in an 5 cube ft box tuned to 40 an one of my amps burnt up about 3 months ago, an now one of my speakers are blown. but my question is what would be an good setup that would be significantly louder than my 2 12" sx's i have an cut through so air space is no problem an the box will be ported im open to any opinons an if i need so i will buy one more bx 1500 or sell the one im using now. any input is appriciated. oh an btw my budget is somehwhat fexible but the less i spend the better. thanx

hes gonna give me 250 for the one he blew but instead of buying another one i kinda wanna experment he also wants to buy my good one for 200 i was thinkin of 3 12" sound splinters i think thats what there called an a bx2200. how he blew it tho was because he was driving for about 45 mins with it wide open an i guess they just got over heated cuz it locked up an cracked the cone i was surprised tho cus i was given them less then there recomeneded rms

this may sound stupid, but is the amp in protect mode right now? maybe he was sending a clipped signal to 'em...also stupid, but u sure u wired 'em correctly? i mean, the sx is a rock solid sub and shouldn't blow, let alone to underpowering them.

no im usin the amp to run just the one 12 now so the amps not messed up an im sure they where wired correctly cause ive been running this setup for almost an year.. but i think since the 2 subs where wired together to be .5 ohm i think that hifonic must have been puttin out at least 2000 w rms because at 1 ohm it puts out 1500 i also had the gain at about 2/3

250 for blowing ur sx and 200 to buy ur 1 yr used one? im glad i'm not your bro. there was a guy finalwolf (or something) in florida selling 2 for less than that in mint condition. anyway, he's ur brother, cut him some slack. now if he's ur older brother, make him buy u 2 new xxx or something with amps.
