it was a sealed enclosure bout .9 cuft. i heard that caulk especially liquid nails can help to over heat the VCs

Well with a sealed enclosure if it isn't properly sealed can cause some good air leakage which can cause various things. I doubt blowing it though. Are you sure the sub is blown? and if it is where did ya buy it
