blew my HD315

my mistake, im interchanging "DMM" with voltmeter. i set this sub with a volt meter. sorry for the confusion. but i dont listen to my music very loud. and the gain was set about half a turn. i really dont know how it could have clipped. not to mention bass boost was off.
Yes I know. DMM=voltmeter. It still won't tell you if the amp was clipping.

You rate it approximately. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif It is how 90% of the people on here set their gains.

Using the O-scope is not an option for people who don't have access to one. I use the o-scope and a volt meter and the approximation on the volt meter has been correct with clipping every time, it is usually under clipping level.

well i guess it blew from clipping with the gain set at well under what it should have been according to the method of many CA users. like already stated, TIME FOR A RECONE!

this time ill get the rite tools to set everything.

and i quote DJ from 3:43 today.

"If you send it to us it would cost $140 plus return shipping. If you can do it yourself the kit is $89 plus $12-$15 shipping"
