It'll buff right out.

My brother did this to a Zapco i250 I installed (switch polarity)... and it blew about 5 fuses before we figured out what happened.

But nothing was charred. It worked perfectly.

Zapco > RF.

And it looks like you just blew a fet. Could fix it for pretty cheap, probably.

Use a sharpie next time to mark the wires. Or wrap electrical tape around the ground.

So do you fish? Cause that would make a ok boat anchor now.

prime example of why i check everthing 3-4 times before i start it up the first time. Everyone makes mistakes though. I had my fare share when i was a teenager and just starting out.

A buddy of mine hooked his Linear Power 5002 up backwards when we were in high school. A little bit of smoke came out of it, but to our amazement, it still worked and nothing was charred on the circuit board. We both learned a very valuable lesson.... You shouldn't try to hook up your amp when you are drunk!

what exactly is the little squares the run down both sides? it just looks like the first one is messed up can it be fixed? the amp still turns on..
That would be a MOSFET that you blew to high hell. You may have a matching one next to it or on the other side of the board. Depending on how bad you burned the circuit board, you may be able to repair it.

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
