...blew another sub

I've blown one in 16 years, and the sub was in the wrong enclosure.....in short, i wanted to see how long before it blew, not long:).....

I thought you were going to ask for help. And I open this to see you did it on purpose and were just showing everyone?!

What makes you think we care???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

it wasn't on purpose, i've been slamming it hard for the last couple weeks and

it was taking it nicely, i guess it was something about the lows in the song

that killed it

Proper gain setting > you
yea i got that

I'm no expert and this is just a guess, But I would think the extra 350 watts might have played a slight role in that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i guess that could be possible

I killed the coils on a couple 12" Cadence beasts, appearently they don't like 1400 watts and sealed enclosures too much. buried at the dump.

I also killed a Sony explode 6x9 with a 1200 watt class D amp "by accident" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif thown out window at high speed

A 12" Infinity perfect suffered from voice coil seperation while under my care, but it was due to a manufacturing flaw. replaced under waranty

A 10" Urban audio works sub suffered a drowning accident when a full bottle of beer was poured on it while playing full blast. gutted for use as a fridge magnet

A Concept SS 12" had a spider failure due to a manufacturing defect with the first run units. replaced under warranty

Thats it for my graveyard over the past 10 years.

Some forum person sold me a 10" Pioneer IMPP jobbie for like 11 bucks shipped. I tried to nuke it w/ near 800w, but it took it just long enough for somebody to say "Hey! Are you blowing that on purpose? I want it!"

Doh.

So I'm still at zero - the amp did bite the big one, though.
