I was just wondering if your blazer or jimmy got as loud as a trunked car, because my subs in my friend's 84 cutlass got just as loud with 1 amp. Now I use 2 amps and it seems the same as when they were in the cutlass. It could be my electrical, but the subs are moving like they should with an amp on each.

hatches/SUVs usually get louder than cars with trunks.......with same gear.

but I feel like the bass gets deeper with cars with trunks....

maybe its my imagination?

suvs are awesome for bass, it juss sounds so much better. and so much room to play wit, u are not limited like trunk cars and dont have 2 worrk about blocking off the flow like in trunk cars

Uh, I would think that cars got louder than SUV's simply because of the interior size is a lot different.....take into consideration that for instance a Chevy Tahoe won't get louder than a reg mid sized car, say a Beratta....but also take into consideration of amount of subs, wattage used, kind of box used, etc. Now onto the question: I had 2 15w3's with the back seat folded down using a 81000D amp and they pounded. seats folded down....I dont have that luxury with my Maxima, many dont.

trunk cars seem louder because the low bass is there (deep bass gives that effect)

Yea my seats don't fold either, i just have the little ski hole and took out the 6x9's in the deck. It still sounds good imo.
