Blackberry issues on Alltel

Sparks mean its working!
So I just signed up for Alltel service today, ulimited data, messaging, etc included, but when I go to set up my Blackberry Curve, I have no browser application and there is no option to set up a personal e-mail address. I tried to set up the e-mail online, but the Blackberry site says the ESN is registered under a different carrier, even though the phone is brand new. The only thing I can think of is that it might take a couple days for all the features to activate on the account, which is holding up the setup.

Anyone who has experience setting up Blackberries, especially on Alltel, please help me out.

Thanks,

Aaron

No setup wizard ??? And the browser is the little globe with the arrow going around it and you click the blackberry menu button and choose go to and enter the web address
There is a setup wizard, but when I get to the e-mail part, the only options it gives me are Enterprise Server and Skip E-mail Setup.

And I know what the browser icon is supposed to look like, but it isn't there. When I go into the settings, it says that Blackberry Internet Service is not connected

I've got the blackberry curve, the best advice for you is to get with the shop you bought it from and have them set it up. I'm with sprint and their customer service is great, they helped me setup internet and e-mail on my phone. You can actually browse the forums from the phone too, it's pretty cool, you get some lag sometimes but overall it's great. Nice phone by the way.

the reason why your browser hasn't appeared is because they are not showing the data plan on your account. call them and tell them your browser isn't there and they'll fix it so you can go online. after that your email SHOULD appear as well

The browser is a part of the os,it has nothing to do with alltel,op head over to crackberry.com,they will have you up in running in no time.

I work for us cellular and when someone buys a blackberry they have to be connected to the blackberry services. The phones USUALLY connect by themselves but if they don't we have a number we call, I don't know if these people are strictly for us cellular, I could pm you their number, if this doesn't work, call alltell customer service.

Called alltel again tonight and finally got someone to answer. Ended up having to go into "host router table" in advanced options and register the phone that way. Then I pulled the batt on the phone and did a hard reset and everything is as it should be now. Posting this from the phone by the way (although I'm using Bolt Browser instead of the native one).

actually it has alot to do with alltel, if the phone is provisioned right by alltel the blackberry wont show the browser or the email set up....
