Black Tail Lights

Does anyone know how to make your tail lights appear black, but when you step on the brakes or put your blinker on, they still light up in the appropriate color?

a blackout kit? It does what you want...kinda...but it dims the light and may be illegial

take off the taillight and rap black pantyhose around it and put it back on. The red still shows thru but it appears black.

they are called overlays. sort of a transparent black sticker to make your tails seems darker. they go right over and aren't illegal.

do a search on google for them. they used to sell them at bluebatmobile.com but not anymore i think.

Or you can spray 'vht nite shades' on it. Its pretty much tint in a can. Then put some clear over it.

this dude put window tint over the lenses.

he even got some blue tint to give his headlights that "HID" look got to be honest they looked good

if you are willing to spend the money you can have a body shop paint them with a transparent paint like this guy did

tinted tails does can look good, it all depends on what kinda vehicle ya got. Before you go out and tint your tails, check with your local popo. I believe that ya can get a ticket in Cali, for tinted tails. Personally, I would go with the vht nite shades. To make it look good, there is a lot of prep work involved.
