Black or Red?

My car is nearing its completion with its setup, but in the meantime I have done a few non-audio mods like a new suspension, tail lights, head lights, and cold air intake. After dropping my car I realized I don't like the tail lights I got. Here's a picture of the current ones:

I'm trying to decide whether to go with the black or the regular (red) LED tail lights. With my minimal photoshop skills here is a picture of each and a side by side comparison. I'm still trying to figure out which to go with. I'd like any input and I've added a poll for it as well.

I like the black because the vehicle is dark green and the vehicle will have tint (photoshopped that). My headlights also have a black housing, so the black and black combo goes together. Then again I don't know if it looks to ricey and the red one does look good as well and retains a more stock look. Please note that with the red lights, the LED's are lit, but the black ones are not in the pictures.

I usually like to keep tailights stock, but for this I'd have to say black.

The other ones stick out too much where the black ones blend in better and compliment the vehicle better IMO.

Originally I was leaning towards the black but I figured it would be too dark, but now that I look at it, it seems fine. The red ones make my car look more like a Christmas tree...more than I thought. I was almost 50-50 about the decision, but leaning more towards the black since it blends in a bit more.

I think the black make em look ricerish. Got stock =/ black out the stock lights if anything. Just a suggestion, to each their own. GL wit your ride.

I dont want to black out or smoke the stock ones because I'd have to buy a new set (gonna keep the originals and put them back on when I decide to sell the car. Also, I know I can't do the work myself, I'd have a shop do it. I don't want to lose the gloss and shine that the stock lights have either and I feel that sanding and even when buffing, will lose that shine.

just get tinted rockblocker applied to the stock tails. They will look glossy and your break lights will still show through fine. And it can be easily removed if need be.
