Will any/all of these classic Ipod work on ALL alpine iPod compatable decks..??? I know on the iPhones u gota have the firmware that was out when the deck was made or released...

You can check SonicElectronix or Pioneer's website for the full iPod compatibility list, but with my Pioneer headunit, my iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.2(which was released a year or two after my head-unit was made) works and even charges. According to SonicElectronix, it shouldn't charge, but it works for me.
But anyway, iPod Classics should all work with Pioneer iPod headunits. Mine even changed its background to the Pioneer logo and stuff.

I have the same ipod and it works flawlessly with my multiple pioneer headunits, along with my iphone 4.
