take it from the guy who ranked first in gears 1 in assasination and warzone and in king of the hill in gears 2 yes gears is one of the best games ever. btw anyone wanna play the former #1?
lol, Yea , not hating on CoD, but just sick of the same ol thing..

Gears looks fun, lots of action, blood n guts and all that fun stuff.. I figured for gears 1&2 for $8 , ya cant go wrong

Also , what do you guys think about 720p.. I cant believe im actually looking at buying a 720p set, with 1080p being the standard for years now, but this looks to be a great set , with good reviews.. Its just gonna be for my room to finally ditch the 32" sony tube set //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Only thing that is actually a native 1080p would be blu ray, most games are native 720, but the price really got me looking

Panasonic - 46" Class / Plasma / 720p / 600Hz / Smart HDTV - TC-P46X3

my tv in my living room is a 32 inch 720p vizio. It does me fine. Its funny cause ill have 3 23 inch monitors for my computer yet a small tv in my living room. haha
YEa I have a samsung 52"A750, which was one of Samsungs hi end sets a few yrs ago.. Paid 1800 for it, and was worth every penny.. Some people may not understand why SOme sets are 500 for a 46" and another is 1500 for a 46.. But the image processor , Settings/features and panel make HUGE differences in PQ, SO I wanted to go with something that would still be a good quality set 6-8 yrs down the road.. But just for the bedroom, I dont care what goes in there, as long as its got descent PQ and is cheap .. Ive actually seen some pretty nice Insignia sets, Vizios as well

There is no difference between 720 and 1080p when you are say, 12 ft away. It's when you get closer and closer when you are able to tell the difference. I have a 50" Samsung 720p plasma in my bedroom and I love it. I've had it for 3 years now and have had no problems at all with it. So it pretty much depends on how far out your viewing area is. Now, in my living room, I have a Samsung 1080p LCD 120 hz flatscreen, but we also sit about six ft away from it. Just something to think about.

720p = big room/ large viewing distance

1080p= close up

But honestly, if I had my choice, I would always go with 1080p.
