1991 Toyota Tacoma

its not my truck, its a friends. but im pretty much the tech for it. its as much my project as it is his. so pretty much, im free labor, hes the pocketbook..and i get to beat it to hell when its done.

he picked something vveerryy rough. i had no idea he was even looking at it and one day i get a call..come on..were goin to pick it up. we pull up, this thing has rims, but the tires arent even inflated on it(i had a spare set of mud terrains layin around that just happened to fit the rims..so we threw them on). no motor, and a few other..little..things wrong.

ON TO THE PICS

i dont have any of when we first pulled up..but here are some right after i started the bodywork..

END GOALS:

hood will be 77 inches off the ground..roughly 20 something inches of lift

entire body will be line-xed. interior and exterior.

chevy 350 bored to 355..hopefully pushing between 4-500hp

46 tractor tires

duce and a halves

all the duhs:

relocated fuel cell

full roll cage

no headlights (but im pushing for them)

custom dash with only the basics - steering wheel, fuel guage, speedo, tachometer, switches, winshield wipers

and ill probably rig up some system for flushing the windshield in the middle of a mudhole

What're you regearing it to? What axles are you swapping out to?

From what I see he's putting in 2.5 ton axles, so no IFS anymore for that taco, and a wider stance for the bog.

Looks like its gonna be a pretty sweet build I would love to get something along those lines to just mess around with, light small and big power. Gonna need a bigger trailer though when you throw the 2.5 ton axles on there. Those axles and the tractor tires probable weigh as much as that entire truck as it sits lol.

Floorboards look solid through, something ya don't see up here in MA *stupid rust belt*
