Definitly under rated. Took 3000w and hardly broke a sweat. Don't forget that the ssx 18 is one of the best smaller box monster. Optimal performance even at 4cu ft. I fit this in my honda hatch along with 2 optima's. The sub is still stiff and pounded in my gf scion xa off a memphis 1k. This is just an all around sub.

Not entirely true. It Can take more power. But doesn't need it to get loud. These sub's are pretty efficient. Had it off 1k of power in my gf stock scion and blew away a scion tc with two 12w7 and two 1000/1. This was at scion night halloween.
