Big Spl Sub???

ahh, this is the part of being educated on the subject i love...

if you have to ask a question like this, you dont have a chance of having the loudest system around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . unless you pay someone else to build a dedicated SPL vehicle with more technology than you would understand...

sorry if that came out rude, but its true. i say this time and time again... educate yourself, then go after a goal like this... its more about the install than the speaker. and i would agree, youre probably not going to get that kind of power out of those amps, unless youre going to be running below the stable impedence levels. which could work, ive done it to several, but you have to be careful, some amps make less power when you do that, they take ALOT more current to make power, and they get hot, really fast, and most times cant be used for daily that way...

well the install is going to be fine b/c the car audio place here is going to take car of all that and everything they have me all set up on the install i just have to get a woofer that i am going to be satisfied with ya kno

with that being said, you can most likely completely forget about having the loudest system around... you might be louder than most, or louder than several, but definitly not loudest around.

there is alot of design technology involved in SPL. its alot more than big woofer + big box = big SPL. there is alot of airflow technology and acoustical physics involved in it all, alot more than most people realize.

im not saying its definitly not going to be the loudest. and im sure when its all said and done you are going to be happy with it and all that. im just expressing my educated predictions.

well than i will pay u to design it than!!!!! it is going to be in a 2005 SS Cobalt and is going to have a little more than 5 cubic feet to work with, with the box. so just come on down here i will give u gas money and all!!! so u can design a master piece i have the funds i just need someone to do it right

I would'nt call 5 cubic feet ALOT of room...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif There are people who are using mt's daily, so if your really set on one get it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Impatience and money are NOT good combinations... There are sooo many options available to you. If your willing to wait and do alittle research you could present a plan to the shop. You can have someone design your sub inclosure specifically for your subwoofer right here for 10 bucks

You could take that design to the car audio shop and they could build it for you...

I personally would'nt give a shop free reign to do whatever they want without having an idea what is going in it and how it will sound. But if you have enough faith in the shop AND enough money you should beable to tell them what you want, and what kind of sound your after... If money is no object THEY WILL put something nice together for you... When there done post some pics and some sound pressure #'s I'll be very interested to see what you finally go with..

good luck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
