Big Problem with sub and amp..

Hey guys.

I bought a JL audio 12w3v3 back in october and bought a 500.1 amp for my truck.

Saturday I bought a second w3v3. Since I put it in if I get my stereo to a certain volume I hear a popping noise(which i think is out of the new one) and the low ohm light comes on for about 1/4 second on the amp and it goes back on for a sec and so on.

Any one know what I'm doing wrong?

Amp is a 500.1v1

and both subs are 2 ohm.

Thanks!

Rated Power: 500 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm (11V-14.5V).....that was taken off the JL website. Since you have two subs now your final ohm load changed from 2 to 1 ohm. As you can see your amp is only rated from 1.5ohms-4ohms. Sorry man i think the shops were wrong. You will need a amp that is 1 ohm stable.

Retards. All of you.

The amp puts out the SAME POWER @ 1.5-4 ohms.

So tell me WHY he needs a new amp for his two 2 ohm woofers because he can't run that one at 1 ohm?

Run it at 4 ohms and you have the same power.

Ignore the impedance in this image (no one has an image for 2 2ohm in series), wire your subs like this though.
