So i have the port facing the side of the trunk for the sx 18. thing is its impossible to find a place to put the sub. Im puting it on top of the box. But it seems like it will scratch the shit out of my sub wen puting it in. So wut happens if i place the sub real close to the port. is it possible. Will it sound alright

im building the box now. Im about to make the cut for the sub and i want to make it right

Optimally, you would probably want a few inches of clearance from any side of the driver. I'm not sure if that will affect the sound though.
