As some of you know I WAS looking to get a projector...but I just haven't seen that crisp/sharp color that you get out of a nice HDTV, out of a projector. SO....here are the links and the choices I am looking at. BUT I have frickin ants in my pants, and I am ready to make a move in the next day or 2 here.

Feel free to leave some opinions.

SAMSUNG 50" DLP 1080P $1899

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

PROJECTORS.......

Optoma HD70 for $974

I think I am leaning more towards a projector because of the price....with screen im lookin at about 1300-1400 with warranty, up and running.

i like samsung over mits but 1080p is a noticible difference versus 720p if seating close to the tv. so it all depends on room size. if you got a big room then the mits with 1080p will be the one to get but if you have a smaller room then the samsung 50" i would seriously compare the both very closely at the local best buy and see which one you like better

but projectors are really nice to have, but if you reall picky about your video quality, it might not be the best way, since the room HAS to be dark to get a really clean picture ect ect ect

oooooh this is a tough one! 600 bucks more, I could get the 57" Mitsu 1080P capable...AND that would be cheaper in the long run (replacing bulbs in the Projector) (anyone know where to get cheaper replacements? or do you have to factory order?) AND the TV will last a lot longer.
