Forget a plate amp, go with a pro amp designed for 19" rack use.
QSC and Crown both make ones that would work...

It won't do a full 2400W RMS, but it does have 1800W worth of fuses. Here fuses area actually rated half way accurately. The reason I said you might have to have a 240V line was for the fact that a standard 120V circuit is fused at 20A and the panel. You would have to get a 30A line or move to 240V.

That amp is nice btw, I would rate it at about 2kW or so.

I have a pair of the Behringer ep2500's and I love them... Really powerful for the price... There have been test done showing they put out 2000 watts at 4ohm bridged

I have three EP-2500's and love them for what they are. They are quite loud, though, like most PA amps, so I would suggest keeping it in another room if you're using it for anything other than SR duty.

I've run all three bridged at 8 ohms (~1000 wRMS a piece) AND a Crown XLS 602 (1200 wRMS) on a single 120v outlet with no issues. On music, that is.
