Alpine type X speakers and amp, JL speakers and amp. If it were me I would get comps for the front and coaxial for the rear running off head unit power. Maybe some MB Quarts with a MB amp.

Honestly, I'd skip the rear speakers. You barely even hear rear speakers when they are on, they add a bit of fill, but that's it. With a 1000 fronstage, you could get some kickass components. 1 set would be just about as loud as 2 lower end sets, but would sound ALOT better, they may even be able to get louder, since you could use a bigger amp. If you like alpine, I'd get a set of type X's and an alpine pdx2.150. Lots of power for an amazing set of speakers, I really believe

your money would be much better served that way. A w6 is a really nice sounding sub, no reason to ruin your overall sound using cheap components. That would probably be a bit under 1000, if so, you can always deaden your doors, that'll really help give you the midbass required to keep up with the w6, and make your car a bit quieter in the process. All and all, I really do feel this is the best way to spend your money, you don't have to listen to me, but it's a good idea

I just swapped my S600 Hex set for a set of Rainbow CMX 265. Without any real tuning, yet I have to say they sound much better. I am giving them 125 rms per side. I am pretty unhappy with the Diamonds, I have had them in less than a year and one of the woofers is already rattling. The midbass was lacking and compared to the new Rainbows they were not very detailed. I was much happier with the M6 set I had before them. I would try and listen to many different brands if you can and see what sounds good to you.

ok, my Head Unit puts out 45x4 watts, if I get coax speakers for the rear doors, what kind should i get?? i honestly dont know what coax's are lol..

im looking into comps for the front and one amp and ill get some coaxs thanks to you guys..

If your going to be looking at anything in the Rainbow line do yourself a favor now and pm 6spdcoupe...besides your in Queens so that makes you somewhat local.

I had the Diamond s600, I hated them. Had a Zapco 360.4 pushing them, sounded terrible. I got the Boston Acoustics Pro60's, sound hella better. If you got a G to do you fronts, I'd go with the Boston Z6's and an amp that pushes 150rms. IMO.

question: do you recommend that i get two component set-ups and get a 4 channel amp to power only the 6.5"'s and leave the Head Unit to power the tweeters??

Hell no. Just goe with a set of nice comps up front, and put some coaxs on HU power for the rear. Hell, with a decent amp, you could probably put it all on amped power.

i went to my radio shop:

rear- 6.5" JL coaxes

front doors- 5.5" JL comp set

front kick panels- 6.5" JL comp set

AMPlifier- 400/4 JL

total $1,800 for parts and labor.

what do ya'll think??
