Im about to have to start looking for a new HU cause my 880prs face wont go down anymore and I was wondering if there was a big diff between the 2 cause i know most of the HU's out there now are 4v. I need a good quality HU old school or new and seen a couple for sale but I dont know which ones are good and bad now....even some suggestions on a HU would be great thx.

Hmmm i might have to try that. About a month ago it wouldnt even go down at all then about 2 weeks after that it just started working again fine. Evenything was still good for about a month till last week when it started doing this. Its weird cause i can take the face off and the plate goes all the way back in but when the face is on it wont. But it never goes all the way down now with the face on....idk might have to try this though.

Those you posted are nice ram. I have an Eclipse CD3434 thats similar (although not as nice, im sure) I would just fix the 880. With what you explained happens, im pretty sure it is the ribbon cable.

Lol **** thats a tough call cause both of those eclipse decks are nice as hell but im not sure though if it would be worth taking one of those over fixing my 880....

5 V is probably a lie anyway. A 14.1 vdc source is 5.0 vrms rail to rail. Back it off until the distortion goes away and you get 4 v. I'm just sayin..

RMS AC volts = volts peak to peak / 2.82.

I had the 880prs myself for a couple of months...went back to my 8053. I just like Eclipse decks. Super SQ and easy to use. Not blingy/flashy...I like my stuff plain.

I shut all the graphics off on the pio's I own, I like em without flash too! I do like The pio user interface better, but could just be thats what im used to. I think, either way the op wont go wrong.

I might actually be looking into seeing about getting or bidding on that 8443....what was the main diff between the 8443 and the 8053?? Just the balanced outputs??
