big diff between 30-35 htz??

to your ear, would this be a big difference? i went sealed for a bit, wasn't loud enough, went back to ported tuned to 35, love it... but may try and squeeze out a bit more sq... just wondering if dropping the tuning to 30 htz is gunna gain me enough sq to make it worth while...

also... i have the sub facing up now and port firing back... if i fire the sub down and port back, do you think i'll see a big difference or no?? i wanna fire it down so i can safely cover the box (with a blanket or something) while at college..

You can put a blanket on top of the sub no problem there.

If you listen to a wide variety of music you will notice the difference. Output wont change to much just a little, but the overall SQ gained is worth it IMO.

thanks... you mean the blanket on top of the sub as it is won't hurt it any?? i was afraid of putting marks on the surround

Are you using a steel braded blanket??? A blanket will not hurt a sub at all.

Well unless you light the blanket on fire while it is on the sub, that's a whole other story...

Why would you be playing it around school?

If you do that, you deserve to get it stolen...this isn't too hard to figure out, keep a blanket around until you park, then cover the sub with it before you lock up. Like mine...

I've been using a blanket so people dont see the subs at school, and I just leave it on when I play. Works fine.
