You probably won't be in business long if you try that.of course i will carry the brands that are mainstream but i will focus solely on selling products that people never heard of
Most car audio *enthusiasts* don't really know a whole hell of a lot about the products available or how to determine which product performs best. 80% of the customer base learned what they know about car audio from Best Buy, Circuit City, Cruthfield and local shops selling other mainstream gear. They'll walk in the door with the "If I haven't heard of it, they must ****" mindset, and regardless of performance you won't be able to "turn" most of them. They'll be looking for their Alpine, Kicker, Pioneer, Kenwood and JL, and if you don't have it, they won't be back.
You have to sell what the customers know and what they can afford, and not base your product selection off of what you would like to sell or what you would like them to know about.
