Big 3?

I am intrested in doing the Big 3, but remember seeing a thread on the big 3 causing a fire. So this makes me kind of weary. Any reason on why it would do this?

if the shielding on the wire comes off, the power wire from the alt could come in contact with metal, causing a fire

To play it safe, you should fuse the alt. to + batt. wire.

The big 3 is just like making your stock wiring bigger, it's only dangerious if you **** at installation.

Loom the wire as well for extra protection.

I agree with everything said above, fuse the Alt (+) to Battery (+) near the alt in case of a short in that wire and you shouldn't have to worry about fires.
