how much does the big 3 actually help? my stock alt is 100A and i'm running a 1000 watt amp that draws 80A and a 4 channel thats 500 watts and draws 40A and i'm thinking of getting 2nd 1000 watt amp. Will the big 3 let me run all of this or will I need a HO ALT too. They don't make HO Alt for nissans so i'd have to have it custom made and expensive.

The 2 amps i'm running now run fine with slight light dimming but nothing major.

big 3 will help with better electrical flow. but regardless, if your system is pulling more amps than your alt can push out, then it WILL fail in time and drain your battery. get a yellow top battery if possible and a HO alt would be best IF you can find one, which you said you can't. g/l

what do you mean they dont make HO alts for nissan? I got a quote for my 94 nissan pathfinder few months ago, and they were able to do it. Quoted from Excessive Amperage. Just didnt buy it because they quoted me too high.

check out motorcityreman.com, excessiveamperage.com and mean green as well. i got a great quote on a ho alt for my ford escort from motorcityreman.com (idk what nissans run pricewise)
