what is a big 3 ive noticed it in many of the threads when talking about an alternative to an alternator. I just need something to help out my charging system with my 2 big PG amps and i already have a second battery.

Also another thing is where the hell can I get a upgraded alternator for a dodge interpid.

The big 3 is upgrading alt-batt, batt-chassis, chassis-engine wires to 0/1 gauge, and a second battery isn't going to help you much, it will just put more of a strain on the alt trying to charge that second battery.

looks like the sticky didn't work. go into the wire forum and there is a big 3 sticky.

i just ordered my wires/connectors from weldingsupply.com and batt terminals from darvex.com to upgrade mine

No, no it's not, it's alt to batt, batt - to chassis and chassis to engine. I already said this, you don't need to try and correct me incorrectly.

I know that first thing to do is the big 3 when thge lights are dimming...if also problem was not corrected, what shall we do? add another battery? change the alternator? capacitor? thx

um no its batt pos to alt, batt neg to chassis, and batt neg to engine block

oh shit i thought it was batt neg to engine block..so do u run an extra wire from the chassic to engine block? what about batt neg to engine block do you upgrade that or just leave it?

you just ground the engine block wether it be the battery negative or chasis, it doesn't matter just ground it. anybody find the big 3 sticky yet?

Alt to batt +, batt - to chassis, chassis to engine. Just do it all, lol, it's not much work at all, unless you plan on running every single ground in your car to your battery - instead of them just staying screwed into the chassi like they are now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.
