big 3 upgrade

I followed the crutchfields method of the big 3 upgrade because it was the simplest way for me I used 4 gauge wire, I went from 1.) alt to +battery, 2)chassis to negative battery 3)engine block to chassis. I just added wires did not disconnect factory wiring.

I choose only 4 gauge wire because my system uses 2x8 gauge wire 0 would be to much and I just put in this system and plan on keeping it for a while. If I was to go any bigger I would use 2 or 0 gauge wire when you do that you would also need to add batteries right. A very expensive project.

wrong, just because you do the big 3 in 0 gauge, doesn't automatically mean you have to get a second battery, it's supposed to reduce having to get a second battery

in adding a battery you don't need to get a huge battery, i run a 35ah battery and it was fine until i added 1200 watts more amps for mids and highs so i got 2 more 35 ah

I can always go with 0 gauge when I upgrade to more power consumption amps and subs its not that difficult once you have the know how. I should have just done the 0 gauge first but I wasn't sure. I was to cheap to buy the thicker wire cause I already had 4 gauge. Also I wasn't sure about the flexibility of the 0 gauge. And the ring terminals.
