I have a 4awg gauge running to my amps at the moment and i am thinking of doing the big 3 upgrade. Will i be fine using the 4awg for the big 3 upgrade or should i go with the 1/0 awg instead?? I am pushing nearly 1000 watts RMS total and i currently have a red top optima battery. Feed back is appriciated and if you have any links/videos about this big 3 upgrade stuff on deck i would really appriciate if you post them here meanwhile the searching continues //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

go ahead and do it in 0 that way you don't have to worry about doing it all over again latter . also get rid of that red top and at least get a yellow top before you kill that battery also if they find out that you weer deep cycling that battery it voids the warranty

Do you have a direct link of the type of rings tha i will need for the big 3 upgrqades, I will be doing the 4awg since i am planning to stay with my current setup for a long period of time. Does that ring have a specific name or what?? THNX

you could use a terminal like this, pm me if you want some.

Ive been thinking about doing the big 3. Im not running with that much power. Still would like to do it though just for the experience.

How do you connect the 0 guage to the battery with the factory terminals also connected to the battery?

2 options;

either splice them together or get one of the battery clamp from a car audio shop that has a 0/1 awg and a 4 awg slot to make it look better. you may want to consider getting the battery terminals for ease so there is no soldering or error. fyi: consider another clamp for the negative side from the chassis to the battery.

What do you mean by battery clamp.

Is this what I would need. 0 guage for big 3, 4 guage for amp power, 2 8 guages for stock car wiring?

I understand that I would use ring teriminals to connect one end to the car. Im just confused as to how to hook up all 4 wires to a single battery terminal.

My stock terminal has 2 red wires connected to the it. I then put a ring terminal in there for amp power. Dont think I would have enough room to add another ring to it, especially with 0 guage,
