BIG 3 questions

Ok so I am starting my install and want to do it right the whole way so first things first... big 3.

Ok now my stock wiring is all 4 GA already so I am not sure of any real need to upgrade it... now before for you flame me let me say why.

I am putting a second battery in the trunk with an isolator. I will be running 1/0 from the engine block ground connecion and from the alternator positive terminal ( and obviously fusing it) and running that to the trunk battery. So from the alternator to the trunk battery I will have 1/0 which is where my current needs should be.

So that's my first question... would this be ok to leave the stock wiring as is and just run the 1/0 the way i described?

Second is, if I do decide to upgrade the stock wiring anyway (just for fun or if you guys think I should anyway) then are there any terminal blocks that accept one 1/0 and two 4 ga? I can find one 1/0 and one 4ga but havent seen any with two 4 ga. I want to use fancy terminal blocks... because i can.

My plan is 1/0 from batter to alternator and engine block and from there go to the trunk. 4ga from batt to chassis and 4ga to starter and 4 ga to fuse box (thus pos side needs two 4 ga). Now the reason I dont upgrade the chassis is my stereo is not using it and the stock system already uses 4ga so its obviously good enough for the car.

Any advice appreciated =D

Yes, you should definitely upgrade the Big 3. Remember, that stock wiring is only meant to support what's already in the car, when you throw in an aftermarket stereo it's not enough to carry the full current you need.

For the battery terminal, use the Kicker ones http:// http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3883_Kicker+BTPN3.html it has one 1/0 and two 4 gauge spots. Otherwise, go to any parts store and pick up the ones that have screws on them...that way you can do all of the Big 3 in 1/0 gauge and use ring terminals to attach them to the battery terminal.

But thats my point... with the second battery in the trunk and it connected driectly to the engine block and alternator pos terminal with 1/0 cable the stereo is going through that and not the stock electrical. And the stock electrical is already 4ga so not seeing why it would be needing upgrading. Also I wont be hooking up any of the stereo components to the chassis as I will be connecting them directly to the battery in the trunk which will be connected directly to the engine block and alt via 1/0... Please correct me if im wrong.

Is there anywhere I can get that terminal that ships to Canada?

Thinking of getting this battery terminal cause this site actually ships to canada...

And also looking at there POFC cable...

How much should I get for BIG 3 and 1/0 runs under the car to the trunk? Doing BIG 3 and 1/0 and a few peices in 4ga plus the amps will be 4ga...

I am thinking probably 60ft of 1/0 (30 red 30 black) and 20ft of 4ga (10 red and 10 black). Sound like too much? too little? This is for a 07 MGM so it is a fairly long car...
