i am getting my new alternator tomorrow and i have a couple questions about wiring with the 1/0 wire.....first of all where do i buy the connectors to fit such a large gauge of wire?...and second of all what do i use to securely connect them to the wire so i have good power flow?.....also should i add the 1/0 gauge wire to what is currently there with my stock alt or just replace it?

btw its a 220 amp alt for a 98 jeep grand cherokee and will be running an orion 2500d (2500 RMS) for subs and an audiobahn 4 channel (500 RMS) for mids and highs

**** i wrote that stuff up and it was deleted before i sent it... anywaaaaayy.. the jist of it was i couldn't find any connectors near me all i've got around here is home depot and autozone, so maybe bestbuy or circuit city has some. And as a rule people say to always add and never replace.

thanx...but is there anyone that knows a place that would have them for sure?....i know many people on this forum have done this.....so where did u buy ur connectors?

I found some at ACE Hardware, but then again those stores can very so much from each other, I'd check it out if you got one near you, if not try w/e other hardware store you got by you.

is there a local car audio shop near you? i always order mine online. napa sells them but they are steal ones. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

yah i have few shops near me....they would have them?

well i decided i dont have enough time to look around nor the resources to do the upgrade myself.....so i just installed the alt with stock wiring, i figure it'll be fine for now.....but i am gonna do the big 3 b4 i get my amp and subs in....but i am having my amp and subs installed by a shop since i have no idea how to do it myself......so if i told them to do the big 3 while they were doing the rest of my install would they do it?.....or would they even know what i'm talking about?
