Big 3 Problem

About a month ago i did the big three on my 2000 ford ranger. It was all fine until about 2-3weeks later when my truck had trouble starting. I found that if i turned the key to halfway for a second and then all the way, it would start. Eventually it got harder and harder to start so I took out all the big three wiring, and guess what it started fine.

So today i redid all the big three wiring, this time with an 125a inline fuse between the alt and bat. And now my truck wont even start. It tries to crank and my battery gauge on the dash reads at about 1/4 of the way up. I took everything out again and it still wont start.

Anyoen have any ideas. Is the alt dead or something? I dont understand how that could have happened. Keep in mind i drove it the night before and everything was fine.

so i messed around with the battery ground and it turns out that the stock location is awful and it isnt getting a good connection. I just never checked it because it was the stock location so I assumed it was fine.

You were exactly right syko

Sand the stock location, or any other location. ALWAYS.
