Big 3 made things worse

Battery connections? thats the first thing i checked. now im thinking it's something like the MAF sensor or Air control valve, since it only does it at idle

So the cars nearly dies when you stop at a light (car is idling)? With or with out the stereo blasting?

That ignition on voltage drop (0.5V) seems odd. I don't know what to make of it.

Maybe your alternator isn't putting out enough current at idle.

More diagnosis is needed.

I havent had my system wired since it started acting up. The power wire to the amp is disconnected. The car feels like it's going to die at idle, it shows no voltage drop on the voltage gauge.

Sounds to me like maybe something got knocked loose or pulled off on accident when you were installing your B3.... sounds a lot like a possible vacuum leak too... and I'll tell ya I used to have a couple of Orbital's in my van and when they started dying it ran like shit but they would load test fine..... same with my Jimmy, rough idle but the voltage was good and steady, although the batt did test bad on it that batt was just a standard 660cca starting batt.... new batteries in both fixed it....

just my worthless .02.....

In the first post, you just said Camaro. What year? Are we talking 60-80's camaro that has a carburetor or is it something newer with OBDI or OBDII software on board? If there is a vacuum leak or something (which would cause a horrible idle), it would show up on the computer. I'd say still go ahead and check every connector end on the big 3 you did, something isn't terminating properly or has a bad connection/grounding out.

It's a 1998 Camaro Z28.

I removed my MAF sensor and one of the three what looks like resistors looks dark brown(burned?) while the others look extra white.

Can this be the cause?

crap reading this thread i have found out there may be a problem with my sensors and crap since the big 3 on mine has no loose connections and everything is set up correct. :/ thanks for letting me tag onto ur thread OP.

Another thing I had discovered when I installed my new system on Tuesday was burned? power wire. A good 4-5 inches of the power wire was burned I guess. The wire was white. It was the wire closest to the fuse. I noticed it when I removed my old power wire fuse to replace it with the new amp fuse. I cut off the bad part.

What can cause the power to turn white?
