Big 3 is now DONE!

Its snowing out so I decided to pull the car in the garage and get to it. Looks pretty good if I don't say so myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Lookin' good! Noticed you're in Colorado, so I'd recommend protecting that wire with lomb or Techflex or something like that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Maybe I'll do that, although the blue wire sure does look pretty LOL

I see a GM engine bay. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Looking good.

One suggestion I feel I should make. Run an extra line from the positive on the actual alternator to you battery. The stock one is 8gauge. Eventhough its maybe 6-7" long, this will still help the choke down at that point.

can't tell too well from the pics you provided but be sure to at least mount the wire to another wire already running in the engine bay with zip-ties so the cable isn't floating around.

i was recently asked to look at a friends system as he described that his power cable kept blowing fuses within seconds of turning on the car. within a minute i find that his power cable was melted and bare cable laying on the exhaust manifold.

Definitely wrap that wire in loom. Any under-hood wire should be imo.
Any particular reason why? I mean if it's out of the way of moving and/or hot components, has a good quality jacket on it, what's the danger?

Ummm, thats part of the Big 3?? I ran 0 Gauge from the battery to the alternator.
