my battery only has the side posts, and i can't fit 4 gauge, let alone 1/0 into my terminal to connect it to the battery. so could i run the alt to battery to the distrobution block like in the picture (the red thing with tape on it) or should i get a new battery with top and side posts, and run the wire from the alt to the top post of the battery? or do i have any other options

What happened is you were to rotate the battery 180 Degrees;

1. would you have the space you need?

2. Whould the stock wires reach?

Would something like this fit in the space, and if so would the factory wring be able to reach it if you faced it up.

just get those and put on your neg and pos. that's what i used.

ok i forgot completely about those battery terminals, but if i bought one would i be able to put that red harness on the pos terminal into it?
