big 3 help clipping probs?

to put it simply, no clipping is cause by having a signal going to amp at a higher voltage than the amps gain is set to match.
neither of those answers. i understood..youll have to go 1st grade with me on that..I was told that if I did the big 3 it would help with my clipping problem..which whenever I clip that just means my alternator is telling me to get it replaced..but I dont have the money for that right now so if I just upgrded the big 3 then it would be fine.

Okay there is a knob that reads 0.2 to ummm like 8 or something the numbers vary so in example. Your head units rcas put out a certain voltage too so u need to match the amp to that voltage...

i have a stock head unit. what is the big 3 going to do then? i dont think my question has been straight up answered yet?

turn your gains down smart one...

Big 3 helps the "flow" of electrons go through your car.

It helps you get more power to your amps.

Clipping is PURELY amp side.

You head unit sends out a signal at X volts. It depends on the head unit. That signal is then accepted by the amp. The amp has a knob that lets you change how sensitive it is.

When the amp is too sensitive to the signal, the signal gets clipped.
