Did you disconnect any pin connectors? I have 1 connector that's in the way of my + on the alternator I forgot to plug that back in once and my Malibu ran/shifted gears (auto) SOOOOO rough/bad.Stock wiring is still hooked up. I doubled the new and old. I didn't mess with the alternator ground just added two leads from the battery neg to frame & engine block.
Yeah but I hooked it back up afterwardsDid you disconnect any pin connectors? I have 1 connector that's in the way of my + on the alternator I forgot to plug that back in once and my Malibu ran/shifted gears (auto) SOOOOO rough/bad.
yeah i checked the fuses they're fine but i'm going to start ripping stuff out to see what the issue istake out everything you added
see if the problem is still there
if it is, check fuses
how many miles? The speedo cable could be broke. Mine stopped working. but i knew it was going to stop. Because it was reading 8 miles too fast. And then 2 years later. It went.Disconnected the Alt -> battery positive and the issue still resides. I don't know how to check the speedomter seeing that the fuses read fine on the DMM. The other guages work perfectly
oh. Your probably right. I am used to older cars. My bad. Hmm. Can he reset his cars computer? and see if the speedometer goes back to normal?bet it has an eld system
