Big 3: alternator amperage

How do you tell how many amps your alternator is? I have a '98 GM (Sunfire) car. I didn't see any specs on the alternator. I guess a small multimeter is too small to test the amps?

go to autozone.com and basically price a new alternator. you prolly have a 80-100 amp alternator

If its the 3.4L V6 it is most likely 105A

check the main car fuse box, usually there should be an alternator fuse or breake in there.
