Never in my life have I seen such a lack of respect for others than in this thread. You people claim to be chirstians and yet you act like anti-christs. Your "every man for themselves" attitudes are quite disgusting and disheartening. It saddens me to see people that are so cruel and so uncaring for their fellow man. I'm not saying this country and it's ways are perfect but yet look whose repsonsible for the mess we're in now? The very party that you all vote for. Blame whoever you want for the mess this world is in. But whenever I complain about the mess W has put our country into I always hear the repugs say "if you don't like it leave". Well, it just seems that most conservatives want to bring BS religion into every political argument. That is what disgusts me. I actually agree with staying and making this country what it should be. I can't sit back and be quiet while it goes to shit either. But with our tax system the way it is it's NOT going to get any better while the wealthy gets to sit back sipping penacoladas and gettin caught in the rain. You people had a good run and when Obama wins the election the party will be over. Simple as that.

This part right here is where I think you and the rest of the republicans are out of touch with reality. You say he did good considering what he was dealt??? He was dealt a booming economy and a national surplus. He was warned about BinLaden and decided to take a vacation instead of work on it. Since then he's started a war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and has NEVER caught Bin Laden. What was his quote? " I just don't spend that much time on him anymore". I'm sorry but that is unacceptable. I know your income bracket has prospered under him but that doesn't excuse all the awful things he's done.

So, in short I think I'm done with this thread because I will never get through to you as you and your buddies won't get through to me. We are from opposite walks of life and are now different classes of citizens. Not only that as you can see I get pretty heated about this stuff. LOL. So instead of cussing people out on a regular basis and getting banned i will just refrain from this thread.

I do think W is pushing a little too hard/fast on this big bail out program coming. The dems are being smart and trying to get it some more oversight, limitations, and time to actually review it before just stamping it and sending it on.

I agree with you there. Instead of playing the blame game, i think suggestions to fix things are a better solution, however most people that blame bush for everything dont know what the problem is to begin with and therefore wouldnt know how to fix it.

I make $45k/yr, which is lower middle class....I also trade stocks. Currently I do not pay that much in taxes on capital gains. Under an Obama plan, I would may much more in taxes on capital gains. Trading stock can allow me to essentially work a second job and move up in social class. Should I , a person of the middle class, be punished in the taxation because my 2nd job is trading stocks and another person's is working at wal-mart?

If Obama wins, we will have to fire 1 full time and one part time employee to get by

two people will loose jobs
