The commune idea is great...if you all work some land and all take part in what it produces. Everybody does their part and everybody lives.

This country just isn't one big commune though...and the hippies need to figure that out.

they live in a different world in their mind. it was part of their goal (lsd). at least they had the excuse of tripping all the time. today, people have no excuse, other than it being a cultural issue. if the majority of the people want to live in a more socialist community, it's a free country:laugh:

I agree though, people who make $250k/yr is alot, and they won't miss any cash by paying more in taxes.

Whether they would miss it is not the issue....whether they should be forced into paying even more than they already do is the issue.

Instead of taxing people who make over 250k, why not tax the over sized monopolies of corporations and profit billions each year. Why don't some of you look at what kind of profits the gas companies are making along with the hundreds of other companies that make more money than any sole proprietorship ever could.

Why don't you look at their profit margins not just their profits. The gas/oil companies don't have huge margins, they make alot because we buy alot. Thats not such a bad thing.

There really is no use in debating this, people are predisposed to vote the way they are going to vote.

Those who are black, fall below a certain intelligence level, or were sexually abused by their father, will vote for Obama.

Everyone else will vote Republican.
