Look, I am 100% against people who literally, dont do shit because the government sends them a check every month that they just spend on alcohol or poorly etc...those people as far as I'm concerned can go die in a fire.
What I'm not okay with is the number of kids who have a hard enough time surviving as they grow up, and on top of it dont have teachers at school willing to teach them, and certainly dont have anywhere near the same educational opportunity that the wealthy or middle class do.

I've been in schools, where I've had friends that couldn't come to school everyday because they had to work to make sure they could eat, and hell..the school was hardly worth shit anyway...teachers that dont give a shit...no books worth even opening, pretty much no reason to even be there...

Thankfully my family did make it, and we are pretty well off, and we live in a nicer area now, and I'll likely be able to send my kids to nice schools, and have them be successful as well, etc.

But how am I supposed to not care about the kids I knew who didn't get lucky...who don't have parents who are working their ***** off trying to give them a better life...who still dont have shit at schools...etc...they are my concern. I don't understand why rich kids deserve to recieve a better education FROM OUR GOVERNMENT, than poor kids do. If rich people want to spend their money to send their kids to private schools where they can get the education they so deserve, fine, do it, I'm all for that, education is the most valuable thing there is. But there is no reason our government needs to contribute to the educational opportunity or class gap

But you are asking for the government to run the family...How can you fault the school if the parents do not care? How can you fault the government if the parents do not care? Are you suggesting that government over-step the parents in providing education if the parents are unworthy?

This is exactly how they introduced taxation in 1913. It was sold to the masses as a Tax the Rich deal. The next thing you know, 1943 rolls around and workers are paying 50% on each dollar they're making to the Federal Government.

This is a hike in Individual taxation. Corporate citizens are not going to be taxed any higher. The rich are not going to be taxed, the highly paid worker or small business sole proprietor is going to foot the bill.

It doesn't matter either way, eventually we're all going to pay the tax via inflation. Bernanke is pumping billions into the markets everyday just to keep the system from collapsing. But, in the end it's still going to collapse and we're going to be on some IMF currency. The American economy is doomed if we stay on the present monetary system.

We need to go back on the Colonial Scrip style system where they only expand the money supply as real production expands. If we stay on this Bond backed currency where they can write a Bond and create as much currency as they want we're all going to be poor. Real production is not expanding, but the money supply is expanding at an exponential rate.

Eventually, even if you have $100,000,000 in the bank, you're going to be poor. They're demonstrated that they're going to do anything they can to prevent the current system from collapsing.

only difference between rural and urban communities is the price for land/houses, all other expenses remain basically the same;

utilities, gas, food, cars, etc... but the average wage for the exact same job between the 2 areas is reduced as well, so the income to expenditure ratio remains constant regardless of area...So you want the poor to move to another country or another planet in order to have a better quality of life???

there are programs that already exist to take care of housing, medical, food and a hand up through education to the very poor. Exactly what else are you looking for?

A person who makes $50k is not taxed at $50k, nor does he pay 25% tax. We have a progressive tax system....and there are a variety of credits such that his/her taxable income is signicantly less than $50k further reducing his/her taxable income.
