i know ive been on here a while and this is such a n00b question. if you have a sub that has DVC can you bi-amp the sub? like use 2 viper 1200.1's or something like that?

Yes you can in fact some High wattage quad coil woofers are hooked up with 4 amps.

Amp on each coil? Sure, it can be done. Just make sure you set your gains right.

thats kind of what i thought. and i kind of figures some of the db cars were set up like that as well

might be a better idea to just strap them together. If I remember right, the Viper 1200 is strappable. This would in return defeat any accidents of setting the gains slightly different.

If you decide to put an amp on each coil, adjust your gains with a good meter.

the vipers have the built in sync feature for the gains on their amps, but i know 1 model doesn't have it, im not sure if its the 1200.1 or what.
