Bi-amp low frequencies from crossover producing no sound

Hello All,

New here and found forum looking for an answer/solution to my problem.

I have a ford focus that has a factory fitted sub which is basically pants...

The signal it receives is low frequencies from a built in crossover in HU.

I installed an amp that uses high input directly off the original feed as the HU does not have low output RCA. Plus I wanted to utilise the original wiring to save running any extra.

So basically I am bi-amping the low tones from the HU that plugged directly into the un-amped original sub.

The new amp and sub work fine but when using the cars feed nothing comes from the sub.

Am I missing something?

Why can't I bi-amp the low frequency high output feed?

I hope I made sense?

Many thanks in advance

The original sub is fed low frequencies from a crossover built into the headunit.

I put an amp onto this feed and no sound is produced from the new sub plugged into amp. The new sub and amp work fine when plugged into a normal speaker feed. The amp has high inputs instead of rca as the headunit does not have rca output.

Not sure why the original low bass feed is not producing any sound when using an amp?
