BF3 Jets

How the hell do I rank up the jet? I'm good at maneuvering it and dodging heat seekers a lot of the time but can't get any kills with the machine gun. I try to shoot down other jets with not much luck. If there is an aircraft in the air i will go after that but otherwise i go up to about 600m hit the brakes and nosedive towards an objective using the machine gun. It's really ******* hard to get anything done when everyone has a jet decked out with radar, stealth, heat seekers, flares, etc.

Does anyone have any tips?

Kill helicopters with the machine gun

Go in with a teammate and have them tag tanks. One good pass from 4-800m up with net you atleast a vehicle disabled.

I don't even use heatseekers man learn how to kill jets with your machine guns it's hella easy you just need to learn to trace targets at a distance and out manuever them.

Always aim ahead of the other plane ur trying to shoot got heat seakers finally but I mainly stick with the attack copter

the AIR in BF3 is weak,not as good for sure as BF2 but I can heat seek my way to a few kills

I prefer chopper over Jet :\...Thermal+Tank Busters+Someone who knows how to fly and shoot as good as me=Everyone calling me and my boy hackers lol

I can't stand choppers in BF3, at least having come from BC2. The biggest thing that bugs me is if you roll the chopper it doesn't really correct itself back to being straight again, you have to do it manually. That has messed me up so many times lol

I'm sure it does not correct itself IRL either lol...But what I absolutely can't stand are the people who are getting shot down left and right in their jet...so they become a sore loser and ram the jet into the chopper.
